Holy moly nearly fell off!
So it's is now 40 hours since my last drink and I'm feeling very optimistic. Then I popped into have a pedicure and I was offered a champagne. I automatically heard myself say yes please. As it was being bought to me it dawned on me that I don't drink anymore.
Had to apologise and say actually I don't want it now. But how amazing that I'd forgotten my pledge.
Kinda chuffed I was able to say no though
So, hoping I get some sleep tonight. I've got a good book. Fell asleep on and off last night with some sweating but no other symptoms.
AA meeting tomorrow and again Thurs and Friday.
PS I will be honest just before I said please take it away I thought maybe I could just handle this tiny teeny glass of bubbles. I then promptly told my AV to P*** off!

hi edcat ,
glad to hear you didn't do it . You said no to people and to the drink and the sky didn't fall in ( as sometimes we feel so obliged, or i used too ) .
Keep on , i hope next time if there is one you say no straight off
