Cravings are just thoughts. They don't mean anything.

Hang in there. Distract yourself with something - anything - take a walk, eat, go to bed, call a friend.

Just sit with it, it will dissipate.

You don't have to act on the thoughts. They don't control you. Try to just let them go and carry on.

Congratulations on one year sober.

We definitely understand. I don't really get "cravings" much anymore but I think that I will always have thoughts about alcohol for the rest of my life occasionally - but they are just thoughts...I don't have to act on them.

Coming to SR daily, even if just for a few minutes, reminds me of what will happen if I drink again....and that in itself is nearly enough to keep me sober each day.
