Reflections
Sunday morning, as I was out for my run, I passed by a man about 15 years my senior. He walked to his truck on the street, opened the tailgate and sat down with his back to me. As I ran by, I turned to greet him good morning and watched as he rose a Budweiser up to his lips. It was 7:30AM.
All around me are reflections of my former self. Reminders of where I will return if I stop doing what I'm doing. I am so thankful for being able to see these examples second hand today. Rather than in the first person.
I pray that man, as well as all the rest of us, can find what was really being sought in the bottle.
