Interview blues
I've got an interview for a new job on Thursday.
Since attending AA and understanding that what I feel inside is most important I've been analysing my head. All the feelings of pre interview nerves are there. But today I'm going to practise a new way of thinking .
I'm going to hand it over - if it's meant to be, it will be. Working myself up into a lather about something which I really don't have a lot of control over is absolutely pointless. If they want me, they want me, if they don't, well that's the way it is meant to be.
My usual way of thinking would be to play out every sernario possible. The anger and FEAR would bring me to a very dark place and send me drinking. I've never really noticed this in myself before, but now I can see it a mile off. Things are changing and I'm so glad they are.

Hi I'm Joe and I'm an alcholic! Hi JC ...I Am powerless! ..and My life is unmanageable! ... It took Me ages to realise the fantastic freedom that this realisation/wisdom could bring....just thinking about it makes me smile! ......I don't need to control the events around Me ....I am Powerless over other peoples reactions ..all I can do is act in the best way I can ...Because I am powerless I don't get uptight about situations and confrontations ..Life is unmanageable ..so I don't try to manage My surroundings or other people! ...But I do try to be the best I can be.Your post inspired Me ..Good Luck ..and many thanks ...
