Staying silent....
Staying silent....
This is new territory for me and my AH. I have never and I mean never been able to stay silent about the drinking or finding liquor; however, this weekend I did.
I have yet to say a word about the liquor - it was there - wide open, available to see when he put the groceries away.
I can tell he is unsure about my silence. Even I am unsure about it, but I kind of like that I didn't say anything. Saturday evening he looked at me, in that way as if he wants me to say something, but still I kept silent. He did ask what was wrong, I said nothing other than I was tired. That was very true. I was exhausted from being awake since 5:54 am with my DD and her guest.
I could not have been bothered by it, slept like a baby.
My weekend was exhausting but it was nice. Since I didn't walk around as if I was "wounded" about the stash our home stayed quite and calm.
Thanks to all of you that responded to my post this weekend. I have been back to read the comments over and over.
At the moment I will take this new silence one day at a time. I know this will not be the last time I see his stash.
Baby steps of progress.
Peace!
