Alcohol- widely accepted social poison
What I consider to be a fact about alcohol #1
Alcohol is a widely accepted social poison. There is no other drug in the world which is so accepted by the masses. It has the potential for anyone to get caught up in its destructive web and unfortunately for some of us, it turns into an addiction.
Understanding what we are up against is very important to changing our mindset when we are trying to stop drinking. We have a lot stacked against us. Since birth we have seen and been around alcohol and seen the merry ole effects it has had on family members and friends. We have seen it as something good and positive. We still see it today in commercials as the world presents it as a way to be cool, sexy, sociable and confident.
Understanding and believing that none of those things are really true and it is completely the opposite of positive gives us just a little edge to help us stop.
Ill be adding more of What I consider to be a fact about alcohol in later posts

Hi Jimmy - welcome
if you haven't read Jason Vale or Allen Carr I think you'd enjoy them
For me, now, I'm happy enough to admit alcohol is a poison - for me.
Advertising , social sanction and peer pressure don't bother me any more.
I prefer myself sober
