hey everyone
hey everyone
Hi, everyone I am new to this sure and to active recovery. I've been sober quite a few times, but never had an active plan for my recovery. I've got plenty of stuff to let go of mentally, just like any other person in pain. I am ready to heal finally. I hope to utilize this board as another tool in my recovery tool box. Thanks everyone- lg2015
Welcome, lettinggo SR will be a wonderful tool if you use it regularly. It has been a major factor in my recovery. Read lots, post lots and be ready to learn from others. There are some amazing people here!
Hey Letting,
Welcome. You mentioned having lots of stuff to let go off and tools for recovery. The mental noise can sure get in the way. Just a thought:
Meditation.
It's like the number one thing for me for staying sane and for not using "stuff", which is a great place to start. :-)

HI lg2015,
When I arrived on SR's doorstep, I had packed my bags but could not figure out exactly where to go.
Turns out the doorstep was a great place to be!
Welcome to the forum and some great voices and advice.

Thanks everyone. I am going to start a thread in the appropriate sub forum once I start my detox from sub ...which is most likely tomorrow once I speak with my therapist. Also, I have been reading up on meditation and found some good stuff about it. Just can't watch videos due to only having access through mobile. Thanks again for the warm welcome. I did not expect so many replies so fast
