I could have.... but I didn't
Day 17 for me and I am still on track, despite major temptation....
Husband took me to romantic dinner on Saturday for Valentines and the manager who knows us immediately arrived with a large glass of my favourite NZ white on the house - made a great show of presenting it. I was unsure how to handle this... My husband said "have it if you want it, but don't drink a bottle" (that kind of hurt but I can't blame him - history and all of that). I looked at it and smiled at the manager before saying "thanks so much, that's such a lovely thought but I have decided to give up alcohol, maybe I can have a free dessert instead"!
My husband's smile was a mile wide and do you know what? I felt so good. The strange thing was I did not see the glass and drool, I really did not want to drink it nor have I wished I had drank it later. Alan Carr's words have done the stuff because I will never poison myself again. I really am going to do this and it feels great to have such hope.

wow lucy - that was just perfect!
When our server handed us the wine and drink menu and started to spout off the velntines drink special, I stopped her and said you can remove these from the table also.
And after that they treated my water like any other drink, always asking if I wanted another...
