Day 8 (and counting)
Last Friday I swore it off after waking up with yet another sickening hangover. A large part of me thought, “oh sure, you’re gonna try to quit again.” I didn’t expect to make it past the next day. But here I am eight days later! Still feeling exhausted, but sleeping through the night now. Yay!
Being tired is part of the game this early on. But hey- you made it a week when you are likely getting past or already past the withdrawals and physical symptoms of withdrawal. Now its time to keep your mind busy! Get a book or a puzzle or something stimulating to do this weekend.

Thanks again, everyone. The encouragement is very helpful.
Still doing good on day 9... and Saturday was always my worst day. I’d be home alone and I’d usually start early in the afternoon. By the time my wife got home from work, I’d be half in the bag. Not today.
I’m noticing some physical improvements which makes me wonder just what in the world have I been doing to my body for all of these years. I’d go to bed each night looking like I’d swallowed a basketball. I guess downing 180+ ounces of beer will do that to you.
Thanks again. You guys are terrific. Wishing continued success for all of you.
