If you're looking for an online al-anon there are online al-anon meetings. They are pretty awesome and more much anonymous, private and they actually focus on the program of al-anon. Otherwise, welcome! SR has a lot of wisdom and support to offer. And lots of information! Have you checked out the pinned threads at the top of the forum?

Hi,
I'm also living with an alcoholic and there have been and will be plenty of days I feel like I can't handle. I'm sorry your feeling like this but your not alone and there is so much great info on this app once you search around. Welcome

Hi GingerLynn and welcome
I hope you can tell us a little (or a lot- whatever is comfortable for you) of what you are going through when you feel as if you can
There is no alanon close to me either but I have been looking into the online version- is this something you have thought about?
Please keep coming back, reading, learning- and when you are ready we are here to listen

Hello and a warm welcome to you GingerLynn! We are glad you are here, SR is a place of great support! I would suggest you read the stickies at the top of the forum pages and read around, you will likely get a lot of great information. Be comforted in knowing you are not alone!
Is there a Celebrate Recovery in your town? It is for anyone with hurts, habits, or hangups. There is normally a codependency section there. It's much like alanon, just a bit more scriptural. Just a thought!
Anyways, welcome! We look forward to getting to know you better!

Hello and welcome GingerLynn,
You have found a great place for support. You can share in this thread or start new threads. Read around and get a feel for things.
I've been here a long time. I have four children still at home. I was with an alcoholic for almost 16 years. We divorced in 2010. Since then he has gotten sober and moved away so we do not see him very often. I keep hanging around! I'm still learning a lot. Things are calmer and more peaceful for me now but I remember when things felt so overwhelming. I'm glad you reached out. It is so important to have someone to talk to and process things with - especially with people that 'get it'.
