Just a lot going on right now and I want to make sure I'm doing things the right way.
After asking AH for a separation, he/we seemed to be making honest changes for the better.

I had asked if he'd like to go on a date this weekend (yesterday) . A few times he made it clear that if we did go out, have dinner etc, that I should expect him to have a beer. A BEER.
After our talks and discussions and him going cold turkey, I think he was trying to justify it by 3 whole days of sober.

I told him I'd have to think about that the first time it came up. The second time he told me he planned on having a drink I just sort of shrugged, dropped the subject and date night was not pursued after that.

I feel a bit of sadness and a little guilt that I did not make date night a priority any further.
But I would feel very uncomfortable and upset if that had happened. And I know it would have.
He just sees no problem with that, and until he actually gets some help, I have no interest in having that conversation with him again.

This sounds reasonable right?

Honestly, it sounds like he isn't done drinking and is just trying to placate you for the moment.

What does your gut instinct tell you?
Trust it.

I don't think I like what my gut is telling me. Which is exactly what you said.
Oy. I really am smarter than this. And need to trust myself quite a bit more.
