Beyond Addiction: How Science & Kindness Help People Change

From the reviews it's a different approach from the "Tough Love" approach.....

It looks good, I think you should give it a try! And I think I will read it myself too!

Personally, I think the "tough love" approach is outdated and doesn't work most of the time. When I was going through everything with my ex and researching rehabs, I had countless people tell me to let him "hit rock bottom" and yada yada. When I would ask them what happened to the addict in their life, they would tell me that they died! Most people don't realize that "rock bottom" is often the morgue.

Do what's right for you. If there are other methods that appeal to you, try them. Trust yourself and your instincts.

Its a great book. The method used is called craft, short for community reinforcement and family training. I love it! Yes please come join us with the book study, and theres an associated website too. Search for the 20 minute guide craft and you will find it online.
