Some days are harder than others.

Don't want to sound like a wiener, but some days are just hard, trying not to go buy a bottle. By the way I have a web site. mullinsart.gallery, When I'm not trying to drink myself to death I do have a life.

Zeppo, what's going on, man?

You said stress...can you do some exercise or clean the garage, or something that gets you moving? It really helps with stress and distraction.

You've been sitting in some kind of bad thoughts for a couple days now. If it's the past, try to put it out of your mind - it can't be changed. If it's the future, is there anything you can do to mitigate whatever damage you think you're going to sustain? You're not talking to us.

Live in this moment. Enjoy the day. There is beauty all around you.

Oh!!! You're very good! I've started painting myself this year, though you are very talented!!!
You love the blues and jazz?!?! Me too!
Don't get a drink, take it from me who recently relapsed, it sucks in every way, couldn't wait to get a few sober days back to get away from the horrible alcohol feelings.

P.s I loved the one with the guy playing guitar in the orchard

^^^ What she said. What's going on? Getting it out on paper (or pixels) really does help, sometimes.

I looked at your website.

You're a very talented artist...so I guess I'm preaching to the choir about beauty all around us.

So, spill. What's going on?

I don't know, just in a funk for no reason, believe me if I could perk myself up I would. writing helps but hate to sound like a cry baby, just depressed.

We're all cry babies sometimes and so we don't judge. What's the funk about?

I'm personally really unhappy about getting old. I'll never go to the prom now, never wear a satin dress with a train and dance like Ginger Rogers! It's really bugging me.

Now, it's your turn to whine!

Well, if writing helps why don't you start a journal on your computer?

Whenever I have down times, I write in my journal in OneNote on my computer. I can say all the crappy stuff that is in my head. Then I go back and delete it when I'm feeling better. It's cathartic.

I know you recently lost a good friend. Do you know anyone else who knew him/her that would like to hear from you? Pick up the phone, invite someone over for coffee and cake.

This time of year is tough in the NW - not a lot of sun. I know if I'm not careful about my thoughts, I can go down a pretty dark path as well.

i'm in the same place zeppo. I have no spunk, no energy. I've been watching Intervention for 4+ hours a day, listening to podcasts, then surfing the internet. I haven't been doing much of anything really. But i'm just happy i'm not drinking. These are the moods that used to trigger me to drink. I know i'd get 4 hours of energy if i drank, and i'd get some stuff done. But maybe i'd keep drinking, and start calling family and tell them how much i love them and other drunk-dialing mistakes. And i'd keep drinking and getting inconsequential stuff done. If i'm able to stop, i'll then spend days with amped up anxiety and the same listlessness that i'm going through now.
So don't "should" all over yourself. Just be a lazy dawg for the holidays, listen to your body, and your energy will regenerate itself. Don't drink, because it will increase the problems, not relieve them.
You're an artist: Watch "Simon Shama's Power Of Art" on youtube. Watch the episode on Mark Rothko. He created great art in an alcoholic haze, and killed himself in drunken despair.

Some days are diamonds some days are stone as john Denver once sang.

I'd never pray for trials and tribulations in my life but, that's where a faith in a hp or what ever you believe in comes into place.

Check your chemical imbalance in
your system/body with your physician.
Besure to be honest in your recovery
when talking to them. Remember your
recovery is important and like for me
and many others, id make sure, absolutely
sure they know my recovery is extremely
important to me and that if meds are to
be administered that it absolutely not be
narcotic or habit forming.

I use my recovery program to guide me
into remaining sober each day. Then use
my physician for medical attention if needed
for mental issues such as anxiety, depression,
diet etc.

The doctors are available to use in our
recovery to ensure a healthier, happier
balance way of life.

Never hesitate to use the proper tools
in our recovery taught and suggested
to us to live happy, joyous and free.

Your website show off your equisite
talent and should be showed off and
shared amongst many. It's a gift to
never take for granted but treasured
and admired by many.

Thank you for linking to your online gallery. I love your stuff!

I'm very sorry you're suffering. You know drinking wouldn't help anything. Tomorrow you'd still feel rotten--but you'd have the drinking failure to compound things. Please hang tough and resist.

I'll give you my like for one of your
sculptures. Man In Chains.

As he knees with his head bowed
down, he takes a moment to ask
in prayer to be relieved of bondage
of self, from his addiction. Remove
the chains that bind him so that he
can live life in recovery happy, joyous
and free. Amen.

My wife made me a nice lunch, she's got the Seahawks on, starting to feel better and get over the urge to drink.
