First alanon meeting tonight

So I'm going to my first alanon meeting tonight! Super nervous, but hopeful! I always feel so alone in my situation, so I'm looking forward to being in the company of others who have gone through/are going through similar things, even though it's not something I'd wish on anyone! Wish me luck!

Ok, so maybe not my sister wouldn't watch my daughter even though I watched her son for two hours earlier. There is another weds, so I will try that. I was just finally ready to go, I've always talked myself out of it before so upset she wouldn't watch her, but then again she doesn't realize the importance.

Mimi, many Alanon meetings offer child care for a nominal fee, usually a dollar or two. Is that an option at the meetings in your area?

Hello Mimi,

If you are OK with a Christian bent, Celebrate Recovery is available in Quincy at a few churches. I wonder if they would be more likely to have child care? Some of our SR members have found CR just as strong a resource.

Peace! Your schedule will fall into place.

I've thought about celebrate recovery. It's pretty prominent in Quincy. Thank you for the suggestions!
