I am sure this one has been done before....
Hi All:
The other day my son left me a voicemail message while I was at school. On my way to catch my train home I played his message. Expecting the usual Mom can I?????? But NO... I listened and could hear only music. The music of my oldest son playing saw mill creek on the new saxaphone my parents bought for my daughter. At the end of the message there was a quick but sweet, Hi mom! Love ya!
As I walked I just laughed and smiled and thought that was possibly the best message anyone had ever left for me.
I was reminded that these are moments that I don't want to loose to a disease. So, I am thankful for my children and my parents. I am also thankful for al-anon, SR and COSA.
Anyone else thankful today?
Marci

Yes, today as every day since I heard this one liner:
"Thank God It's morning!"
Not "Good God it's morning!"
It never hurts for me to work on an attitude of gratitude to chase even the worst of days away. I always feel so much better.
In fact my grandson was playing a video game who's sound track was about to drive me crazy when the thought occurred to me that at least I knew where he was and he was safe.
Blessings around the boards.

Gratitude escapes me once in a while and when it does I am the one who is losing.
The weather is great, I just had a vacation with an old girlfriend and I am in need of nothing.
Thanks,
JT

Thats a good one!!!! I love it when I'm at work and I get a call from my oldest, "Mom? We just wanted to say hi and we love you." Really makes my night a little better. I am very thankful for my kids, lord knows without them I would'nt be where I am now. No matter what happens I know they are with me. They drive me insane and keep me sane, lol. Hugs! Teggie
Children are the best when I need a great big old squeezie hug they are always there. Even when they say "I love you mommy " when they are wanting something. I have to look serious when I want to crack up...LOL

I am grateful for my life today. My worst day in Al-Anon is better than my best day before I found it. Gratitude is a natural antidepresant. Hugs, Magic
