Today the final court hearing takes place
Hi SR friends
So today I have my final court hearing over custody issues with my XH.
I can't wait until it's over so I can move on with my life.
It has been 1 1/2 years of this court process & 8 years since separation.
I am quietly confident & feel good going into today.
No matter what the outcome is I will live by the court rules & I will be able to move on with my life.
Keep your thoughts & prayers with me.

Well the court hearing went well, I was calm & collected.
There was an error however where the court had failed to submit my last affidavit & submissions & the judge wasn't prepared to make a decision then & there without the paperwork which is fair enough.
So now I wait (again).
The judge said he should have a decision through by the end of the week.
I am still feeling good that it is all over despite not having a decision & I do not feel that XH had any reasoning behind his proposals.
For this reason it will be good for the judge to read my paperwork later & see that I have been consistent in trying to get this all sorted since 2007. All the proof is there, all the reasoning is there.
Time will tell.
Fingers crossed for a good result.

Sounds good! You've done all you can, and what the judge still has to review should only help. Much better to get a well-reasoned decision in a few days than something hasty that leaves out consideration of important information (lots of years as an appellate attorney, too). This will put it to bed.

As thought no result through despite the judge assuring us he would make a decision by the end of the week.
It's so frustrating that the court lost my paperwork & then I'm left to wait & chase my results.
Also very hard to plan for upcoming school holidays when I don't know who is having who when or if.
Grrrrr.
