It is SO cool to be sober and....

Look at the full moon with awe (and not get head spins)
Feel free (like I can drive past a cop without heart attack symptoms)
have friends that know me say "You seem calmer" these days
Lose 8 pounds (who hoo!!)
Attend a party- leave the same night (drive home) , then wake up refreshed-thinking about all your friends who are having a really bad morning now but had a "great time" last eve.
Have a few "extra hundred bucks" (where did that come from- sorry Michelob)

ah yes, so cool!!!!

I sometimes find myself missing some of my old habits, and I have to remind myself of some of the many benefits of staying sober, as you so well outlined. Thank-you!

Good stuff!
I also can't believe the money I used to spend on booze. Crazy.
Great list and hoping everyone is enjoying a sober day.

I'm 9 days sober and I've already saved about $70 bucks from not buying alcohol. I didn't realize how much I was really spending. I'll probably save about $3k a year!

Treat yourself to something with that money - at least for the first month. It really helps to have something you can look at, and 'see' your hard work
