Don't invite an alcoholic to a restaurant/food trade show

Went with a friend to an industry trade show. He invited a guy we know as a kind gesture even though the guy is not in the restaurant related business.

Surprise surprise, he found all the alcoholic bev companies and they give free sampling.
After 1.5 hours he was drunk and interrupting us while talking to companies reps and with very foul language to boot. Luckily he left when requested as the request to leave meant returning to the free drink kiosks. He even managed to sit down at a premium cognac exhibitors table and pour his own jumbo size drinks until they kicked him out.

He told me how the show is really Drink and Food show and not food and drink.

Saving grace is I dont have much to do with him nor am I in a housemate situation as I was with ex aw Thank God.

Beer at breakfast, non stop the rest of the day then blasted. He told me I am no fun. I replied my idea of fun is not getting wasted, lost and losing my belongings or being with a person that does. He's not a stupid person, alcohol creates a total waste of life though in his opinion is what makes life worth living.

Of course for him, them; "its all about ME"

Thank God I got away from aw and need not spend "low quality time" with tis guy.

I had a similar experience a few weeks ago in another country with a friend of a relative.
I learned how to say "lo siento" within a few hours.
Needless to say I distanced myself for for the rest of the trip.
