Helloooo Day 7!

I made it over the Friday night hump!

Recap:

* Dinner at Chili's restaurant: Every menu had beer and cocktails on them. they even have a digital tablet to order from now that had beer flashing in my face...... OH GOD!!! The waitress comes to the table to greet us and get our drink order. My mother-in-law got a Dr Pepper. I ordered a DIET COKE. Then my wife said, ohhhhh look! Mohitos! My mind is racing at this point. Fortunately she changed her mind and got water.

* Went to see a movie (unfortunately it was a chick flick), but hey, it took my mind off of things. Got some popcorn!

* After the movie we went home and I fell asleep about 10:30pm.

**It felt good last night being sober. Normally I would have at least a few beer in me from eating dinner before watching that movie. However, this time my mind felt very clear and relaxed after the movie.

I woke up this morning feeling great!. Have a safe weekend! Thanks for the support.

Great job!!! Finding non-drinking activities to occupy our time is so critical on Friday and Saturday nights (actually... any night). I used to spend weekend nights guzzling beer and watching sports until I passed out. Now I enjoy playing board games like Yahtzee, Scrabble, or Phase 10 with my family. As corny as it may sound, it keeps my mind occupied, allows me to spend actual quality time with my family, and keeps my mind off of drinking.
