New here!
Hi everyone.
New here, been looking at the threads and know that this will be a great place for support - both ways, I hope I can be some comfort to others as well.
I've stopped drinking for 5 days now, got a little app on my phone keeping me aware of how many days which helps a lot. I am a problem drinker I think, I don't need to drink all the time but when I do, the little switch in my brain flicks and I drink to excess, and when I do, its a problem either losing the next day to a hangover, upsetting people etc etc.
So I decided enough is enough, 5 days sober, staying that way.... next stop 1 week!

Well done, Gazbo. There's lots of temptation here to drink in London but there's also lots of different methods of face-to-face support available for those who choose not to.
And of course, the SR community from around the world is happy to support and encourage us whenever we want it.
Glad you're planning to give something back too. As you say, it works both ways.
