Not going my way
Not going my way
Woken up this morning at 10am and had some quiet time and a bit of prayer time then started my day and it all started to go against me. People and organisations just won't do as I want or say! I remained polite, put the phone down and the enemy whispered shall we go get drunk! That'll ease the anger and frustration. Ofcourse it would, until I decided I needed to let them all know exactly what I thought and while I'm at it I'll remind the ex of how its all her fault too...... So I decided to post on here instead and then after reading another post decided I'll go and get a quarter pounder! Lol.
I am fed up of being controlled by alcohol and the enemy in my mind that tells me drinking is the answer. Its controlled and destroyed my life for so long. I want some peace and some happiness, and I've never had that in my life, and that isn't self pity, its the realisation that I want something different than the self imposed prison I've confined myself in for nearly 20 years!!

Very well said...I feel the same way and am trying everything I can to get that "something different." Hope you continue to find it as well. Good work.
Starve that sumunabeach. It's no less than it deserves.
I got my first taste of freedom around day 82. Better than any booze buzz ever.
You can do this.
Junk food rocks we can always tackle our food addictions when we've conquered the booze lol. Seriously though - well done. It's my problem also, using booze to deal with stress. It's a hard habit to break but we can do it!

The world won't fit to you, key is, learning to fit to the world.
Accept what you can change and ultimately all you really can change.... Is you.
Your perception, your thoughts, your feelings, your need to be sober... In a world that will not always play by your rules.
Good luck with your journey

Thanks guys for the support. I know I can't do this alone. I've tried long and hard and that horse was flogged long and hard after death. And I just got drunker. Not today tho!
