Eyes of our intentions
Eyes of our intentions
The alcoholic views themselves through the eyes of their intentions the world views the alcoholic through the eyes of their actions.
This one really hit home today. It is all about what I do to stay sober. It is not about intellectual arguments, wishes, thougts, prayers, hopes or dreams.
What do I need to do today to stay sober and most importantly have I done it. No amount of thought or desire is going to keep me sober. Time to get off my butt do more and think less

Very true!!
I used to have good intentions every morning, and by afternoon I was planning on stopping by the liquor store once again.
Until I finally did something about it, put a plan of action in place and pro actively made Sobriety happen . . . I continued to stop by that liquor store and drink myself into oblivion each night!!

That was SO relevant and just what I needed to read. I practically live in my head... It's so easy to get caught up in our thoughts vs our actions which is what makes us get down on ourselves in the first place. It's all about DOING what's best; not THINKING about it. Thanks for sharing!
