Ambulance Ride bill...

So...Turns out those fancy ambulance rides needed when you black out on a subway platform and scare many folks of humanity and get taken to the hospital aren't free...

Just got my bill in the mail today.

Yeah. I'm ready to take the steps of AA.

I need to leave that life behind. FAR FAR FAR FAR behind!

Stay sober everyone. It really could be life and death.

Sobriety = money SAVED. For more fun things. Like a cruise I just booked.
Much more fun than an ambulance ride.

Thanks for reminding me. I still haven't paid my ambulance bill from my last relapse. Although we have free healthcare here, looks like I still have to pay a portion of the ambulance ride. Total came out to $250, gov't pays for most and they want $45 from me. I can see the hospital from my balcony. How does it cost $250 for a 3 minute drive to the ER 1.6 km away??

Anyway, my trip to the ER was traumatic enough to harden my resolve and I have been sober since (10 months). Looks like we both have to learn the hard way....

Consider it a very wise investment in a sober future.

That sucks. Man, if the hospital charged me for every time I was taken in I'd be bankrupt.

I don't remember my last ambulance ride but I pray it was my last! The bill was a wake up call for me too!

The gov't pays for the majority of it. But i'm still on the hook for $45.

Not to make light of the gravity of the situation...But i'm thinking of getting the cheque once it's processed framed. Kind of a Remember When reminder?...
