Im going to drive you all crazy today

In the wake of my relapse, I feel soulless. I want to remember this feeling. I loved being sober the past couple weeks and I will get it back and some. But what an awful feeling today. I almost did not go through with my job interview. But I had to remember, that was the plan and all I have to do is go. This feeling will pass. My energy is at an all time low and I somehow got a second interview. I have to chuckle and think they must be desperate.

Don't worry, I'll need a nap soon and let myself heal a little

The thing is, you will have good days and you will have bad days. You cannot let those bad days overtake the progress you have made. You must look at the overall picture, which you already have. You said you loved being sober the past couple of weeks.

YOU CAN DO THIS.

Air wick, it went well enough to gain a second interview tomorrow. Right now I work in a smoking/drinking sportsmans club and it's a dead end anyway. I need, for my well being, to get out of there!

do you journal?

grab a journal and write all of this down for YOU. Write it down not just out here in the ether but in a hard, tangible form on paper in a journal in your own hand.

write it and let it all flow out with brutal honesty where you'll be able to pick it up and look at - in your OWN words and emotion - how you felt.

sorry to hear you've had a fall.... time to get back up.

I have been through the vicious cycle since January of this year, when I decided I needed to get sober. It does feel great to be sober. Hold on to that feeling. It helps and congrats on the 2nd interview. Hang in there CG you can do this. Stay the course and the best of luck to you.

Ty again! Day one is almost done, pretty easy with the pain from yesterday still in my mind. I will go buy a journal tomorrow!

You can do it!
I remember back when I relapsed,it just made me more determined the next time.
And now it's been 14 months sober. Good luck with your interview.

Give yourself some credit. You did something right in your interview. Imagine the possibilities when you have all the distractions behind you.

Good Luck!
