Words
Words
Words are wonderful, hearing another soul is comforting, but still just words. Words can be brilliant, words can help, but just words. No amount of posting is going to change me/you, unless we act upon the words we're reading.
The words will always be there, the support of those words will always be there, the words can make us feel better, the words can speak to our being, but no words ever changed anyone, only action, friends take action be active in not drinking, drugging, whatever, put those words to action. I am and feeling better good day friends.

I agree, words without actions mean S*** All talk, no action. Do as I say, not as I do. You can talk the talk, but can you walk the walk?
All statements that must be followed by the appropriate action to do any of us any good

take care not to underestimate the power of words, however.
when we give voice to intent, we create energy that can be harnessed into action.
when we think and speak a vision - it becomes that much more accessible to make it real.
yes, we must also take action.... but words can be a powerful force to give us momentum and to inspire others.
and with that, I am going to go to the gym!!!
(I just thought it, wrote it, now I'm off to DO it..... see? )

I think writing and speaking about your recovery can be therapeutic, i know it is for me. The words don't always have specific actions associated with them, merely the act of writing them (and reading other's responses to them) is a big part of my recovery.
