I took my last drink on July 29 after years of daily 2 bottles of wine with maybe a few beers to 'warm up'. If not that than a half a bottle of gin. I was a stay at home and drink alone person, rarely went out drinking. Weekends were the worst.

The milestone is today I had the house to myself, wife and kids out for the day. This would usually be my time to get drunk, take a nap, wake up and go another round until I passed out sometime around 10PM.

No desire at all to drink, I stayed busy with some hobby activities, cooked a couple of good meals, and caught up on a few things I ignored due to drinking.

SR and a few other resources I have found here are a big part of my success. I know the battle is not over, but I can't remember the last time I had no desire to drink. Thank you to all of you.

It's awesome news ! Just be careful as I have found, the desire comes back, but if you say that you are in control and picture you in power you won't take the drink!
