Day 43, checking in
Hey everybody, day 43 this fine, sleepy Saturday morning. Having my usual debate about whether I'm craving breakfast enough to do anything about it. Where's my professional cook to cater my weekend meals when I need him??
Funny how when I was drinking, breakfast was the LAST thing I wanted. I would wait until about lunchtime to go get food, because the places that serve alcohol opened then. I am slowly finding out just how much getting drinks controlled some of my decisions. Planning anything on a Sat/Sun morning was right out. Got to plan around those hangovers! Going to a restaurant I've never tried before? No full bar? No way! How repetitive and exhausting.
Have a great and sober weekend!

Good Morning Change4better, Life is good when the biggest decision to be made is to whether or not have breakfast. Congratulations on 43 days today. May the next 43 days be the best 43 days ever. Resolv

I hear you. I used to pick out places that had brunches and bloody mary bars so I could get started around 10am on the weekend. I was completely worthless on the weekends. It's amazing how much control alcohol had, that I'm understanding more and more as each sober day passes (nearing 100 days).
