The Usual Suspects
The Usual Suspects
One of my favorite moves of all times is The Usual Suspects.
The is a line in it the says, "The Devils greatest accomplishment was convincing the world he didn't exist."
I was thinking how similar alcoholism is. It greatest accomplishment is convincing us we we are not alcoholic

Fantastic film . . . one of the all time greats!!
Deceit seems to go to the heart of addiction in so many ways, our minds lie to us that we don't have a problem, we lie to ourselves that we don't have a problem, society/friends/family try to convince us that we don't have a problem . . . and then when we relapse alcohol's greatest strength is that we hide it and isolate which can fuel our addiction even further!!
We're up against it from all angles!!

Yea, walking by the beer aisle in the grocery, watching people so casually put it in their cart, I immediately think, well he can do it, why can't I? I have to get the heck out of there. It's a constant reminder.
