Hey all, I' Bob and I'm an alcoholic. I'm a newbie to this board, looking forward to reading the experience, strength and hope that you all have to offer and share when I can. I am firmly planted in AA, have a sponsor and commitments. I have as of recently been attending al-anon, as my son in law has admitted his problem with opiates, and taken him to NA meetings. Tonight I am attending my first ever ACOA meeting, my father passed away from heart complications due to alcoholism many years back.

Glad you joined us. You appear to have dome solid tools in place so that is something you will be able to share with others.
Sorry about your fathers loss. My mom also was taken, my grandpa. All from this relentless addiction.

Wonderful to meet you Bob. I know you'll benefit from joining us. 
I was lost when I found SR. I didn't have anyone in my life to discuss my addiction with. No one got it. When I came here it made all the difference to my recovery. I finally had friends who understood and didn't judge. It's a great place to be - and we're glad you're here.
