People , places, and things
Saturday morning I decided to join SR and give up the life of destruction. I felt good about it all day. Th en of course someone called and wanted to dropped something off Saturday night. Said they owed us. So it happened. It wasn't much and I used. I'm just thankful that I didn't want more. I guess the wanting wasn't there. And I attribute that to me posting on SR. Any other time I would found the means to get more. So I went back on SR that night and read some posts. And Sunday morning I felt good again. Yesterday was a great day with the kids over for father's day. We cooked on the grill and I felt good. I wasn't tired cause I slept the night before. And I wasn't sneaking off to catch a buzz.
I took a benadryl to sleep last night. But it was still was a rough one. I woke up at 6am clean. When I would normally just be going to bed. So it's a good day.
I'll try to stay out of my own head today and concentrate on being clean and feeling good.
" Sick and tired of being sick and tired".....

I stay connected from the time I wake up
early in the morning till I am off to sleep.
Then repeat the next day.
In early recovery which was back in 1990,
I had to rely on face to face AA meetings
for my recovery until we got our first computer.
Then in time I wanted to find online meetings
to be another recovery tool to use when
getting to a meeting was difficult.
It never hurts to have as many tools to
use in recovery to help build a strong
healthy foundation to live upon for many
more yrs. to come down the road.
