Hey...

I subscribed to this when I was fresh to Denver... Fell off and trying to get back. I have been going to therapy, and am working towards some amazing things... But need to kick this habit. I had lost 40 lbs and was so hydrated, now I see myself on the brink of bad news. Any encouraging words would help.. I have an amazing fiancé who doesn't judge or drink and an amazing support system, not to mention his family is an amazing support system. I guess this is my way of throwing this out into the universe! This is my life! I can be better! Stronger! Happier! I am getting married in a year, I want to start this on my terms by being the best partner I can be. Thank you for reading and sending me good vibes!

Welcome back to SR!

This place is awesome, isn't it? I never would have made it this far without all these wonderful people to cheer me on.

Great to hear from you! And how great that you have a fiance that doesn't drink! Congrats on your upcoming wedding, too.

Quitting is not only a physical endeavor, it's a total mental shift. You have to redefine what the word "fun" means to you. Not only that, but you have to start weighing options: do you want a peaceful, enjoyable live? Or do you want to live recklessly? When you're young, the reckless option is the way to go - but as you grow up, you'll realize you can't live that way forever.

How many happily married 50-year old couples have drinking problems? Not too many. If someone in a marriage has a drinking problem, then usually the marriage has problems.

Do this for your relationship. Do this for yourself. Welcome back and keep posting!

I am starting a no sugar diet on friday and this includes any alcohol. I think this is my way of saying no to wine... Well, what better place to come than here! I am too broke to but alcohol anyway before I start, but would like to make this a regular spot on my hangout list.. I get a warm fuzzy safe feeling on here and am so grateful to have SR as a safe spot. My Wedding is in August and I will have some of my immediate family there. They tend to be the trigger for Karissaleigh to get black out drunk. I need to get some strategies in place now, so that I don't crumble in the moments I feel vulnerable.
