Down the hall from me at work is a wine party. I keep having to walking by it to go to my bosses office. It looks so good and so inviting but I have to keep in my head where it will take me. Today is Day 22 and I don't want to blow it now. I am fighting this with all my might but I just wanted to put it out there so I don't pick up. I can leave work in 15 minutes so I will be okay.

Glad to hear you're heading home. I think it's really tough not only to deal with our "yearning" for the toxic elixir but also...our yearning to be part of the group. It's tough to deal with the "odd man/woman out" part of it.

Getting yourself clear of it..as I believe you are doing...will feel oh so much better. Nice work.

It needs to come from a subconscience level, aka A Higher Power. Playing the tape through, or keeping it your head works most of the time. But theres the chance, that always comes, where you yourself cant do nothing about taking that drink. It must come from a Higher Power.

Oh, yeah, and its called an obsession of the mind. An idea or thought that over-rides all other ideas to the contrary.
