I am grateful that I am still clean and sober so far today. I havea mtg picked outto go to. However yesterday was a differentstory. I drank and drugged at the world. Im full of anger and resentments aside from being HALT.

We all started with a Day 1, you just have to make it to bedtime and you'll have 1 Day Sober, is that what your aiming for?

Im sitting alone in my apt fighting an urge to smoke pot bc I m so anxious. Im supposed to be starting an oitpatient program soon, just waiting for dr paperwork to gp thru.

Yes I am aiming for total sobriety

My partner died suddenly 8 months ago and I am no further in my grieving process bc I almost always pick up a substance, doesnt matter what it is.

Yes I c that my actions did not help me any recently. Really scared to change that, change me.

Yes I am in therapy, have been for years

Unfortunately I also havemental health issues.

I'm glad you're getting help. I found it really helpful to join a monthly support group and post every day to connect with people at the same stage of recovery as me. The class of June is here on the newcomers thread.

Have you been to many meetings before? Have you got numbers of people you can phone when the cravings get bad?

I too struggle with mental heath issues. One thing I have come to realize is active addiction (in my case alcohol) only makes things worse. Times i dont drink I feel more balanced and happier.
