Craving carbs
Hello again.
I'm on day 6 (almost a week!) and am craving carbs like crazy. Anything bready/pasta-y/potato-y/starchy and it's making me nuts, since I usually try to stick to a low-carb diet with no refined "white" stuff.
Is this part of the detox? Will it go away? Has anyone else encountered this?
Any input appreciated.

Yes. Normal.
Detox diets are recommended to be high in carbs. You can Google that, I did when I was going to quit drinking.
Alcohol is a sugar. You need to replace it in order to get off it. Low carb diets are notorious for irritability in general. Not a good idea for detox.
Go back to your lower carb plan in a month or so.

Thank you all. That makes me feel a ton better. I just know that if I start gaining a ton of weight, I'll be unhappy which will, in turn, feed into the very things that made me drink in the first place.

Haha! that made me chuckle. That's better than what most of our 'diets' probably were prior to sobriety. At least I can speak for myself.
Be kind to yourself in the first few days especially. Eat what you crave. I'm just at 2 weeks and gradually substituting fruit for all the refined sugars, but I'd eat a gallon of ice cream and a whole cake anytime before I took a drink.
