Affordable Rehab
Your insurance may pay. Mine did. You can rehab anywhere. A rehab isn't the golden ticket. If you need to detox, may I suggest a trip to the doctor for a little something so you don't seize and die!
I know where you are coming from.
Some of these centers even demand
money up front, very frustrating when
you are desperate to change.
Does your county have a facility?
Have you contacted social services?
That's the route that I had to take.

When I had finally had enough, it didn't matter to me if I lost my job. I would have lost it anyway had I continued drinking the way I was. I decided to check myself into an inpatient detox program one night after I woke up (again) at my computer in the wee hours of the morning. That was it. I sent an email to work telling them what I was doing. I called a friend who drove across town to get me and take me to the facility. I had already called them to make sure a bed was available. After six days of detox, I was in an IOP program for six weeks. I just could not live one more day the way I had been living. Rock bottom isn't always an event, it can also be a decision.
When you reach that point, there will be no more excuses. You'll make the decision.

There was one guy at the detox program who left every day. I don't know why or where, he didn't socialize at all with others at the program.
A good place to start searching is a mental health crisis line. But be sure to say you're looking for "detox" and not "rehab." So, you will need a plan for what to do afterwards, and that's where SoberRecovery comes in.

Yes, the Salvation Army has rehabilitation services that are free. It isn't cushy and there's no horseback riding and afternoons at the beach, but their services are free and they can help if allowed to.
