Day 5
I can't believe I've made it to day five!
I've got to day 7 before so need to stay focused. I want to keep remembering how I felt last Friday, couldn't eat, vomiting, generally feeling horrific. I don't want to feel like that again.
I woke up a little bit sweaty which was new and didn't sleep well but all in all feel ok. Overall it's the AV I'm struggling with. It keeps telling me one glass will be fine.
There's no alcohol in the house though and I have no money to buy any. Good move making sure I don't!
It's raining too so I wouldn't feel like going out anyway.
There's a book I've been trying to read for months. Figure today is as good a time as any to crack through. I used to love reading!

Hi, well done of your 5 days; I hope you can make it 5 weeks. Have you set a short term goal like getting past the 7 days? Once you achieve that, make it a month and so on. Time seems to stretch out endlessly when it's ahead of us, but it will flash by, and think how good you'll feel if you stick to it.

Hi. Congratulations. I needed to think of non drinking ideas as opposed to drinking which easily took me down the slippery slope. Hang in there even one minute at a time and it will get better.

My friends invited me out on Friday and I've declined. I've also cancelled a hen party I was due to go to on the weekend. It's too early to be sure to trust myself and I know I'd end up drinking at both. Don't think either would understand so have just said I'm unwell and can't see myself feeling better.
Blood test for liver function tomorrow. That scares me...
