90 + 1 days sober!
90 + 1 days sober!
Been so busy with fun and healthy activities that I missed my 90th birthday! I'm no longer thinking about alcohol. So many awesome things to do instead of wasting my days and time on pouring stupid liquid down my throat. The old me is coming back and tangibly I can see it! Many legal obstacles to overcome, but I could care less.....I'm sober. A short stint in jail is on my horizon, but I'll be the happiest guy in there. Addicted me lied! Life IS worth living
A smart man once told me, "Can't no one steal your joy." Yes haha I know it's a double negative but roll with it. Basically it means all joy is generated from within oneself. Joy is not determined by outside stimulus. I can make any situation happy. No one can steal it cause it is MINE. I now vigorously defend my joy if it's in jeopardy (ie having pity parties). I am responsible for all the sadness in my life, I am also responsible for all the joy in my life. I can be my own personal hell, or I can be my own personal heaven.....it's my choice. I believe it's an easy choice
There are a million things to do on a Friday night. Movies, bowling, walk, workout, video games, home projects, clean, bake, netflux, hulu, hobbies, board games, play with pets, read a book, look at the stars (amazing btw....watched a meteor shower last week), study addiction, work steps, call loved ones, etc etc.....plenty to do! It is on me if I choose not to do 1 of the millions of things I can do. Simplicity makes me happy. I worked out, went to addiction group, did a landscaping job with a buddy, made a great dinner, went for a jog, and closing it down with hulu and the dog
