First social outing around alcohol
I'm on Day 28 today and haven't been sure if I could face a social outing with alcohol present, but I had a good experience yesterday.
At work we have been fundraising for a charity, and yesterday we celebrated by going to a bowling lane. On the walk there, my coworkers were already talking about maybe stopping by a pub first for a drink. The lanes are in the entertainment district sandwiched between clubs and bars, and as we started down the steps to go below street level and I walked into the neon lights and electronic music, it felt like coming home to the memory of years of long, care-free nights on a dance floor wrapped in a warm chemical haze. I thought to myself, "How ever is this going to go".....
.....but I bought my Diet Coke while everyone else queued for their beers. When someone noticed I had a Diet Coke they were all agog with questions and when they found out I hadn't had a drink in 27 days there was a big cheer from the group. I ended up having just as much fun as if I had been drinking, and when I left and climbed up the steps and was back out on the street I was thrilled that there would be no stumbling walk home or dreaded hangover the next morning.

justsomeone-if you don't feel strong enough don't go .Most events we can avoid, especially so early on in sobriety( just loooking at your joining date) I avoided any temptation at all costs.
