Hey everyone , Im on day 11 and feeling pretty good . Ive already noticed a change . My blood pressure is normal , during my intake I was 185/105 just about stokeing out . Now 125/80 . No more red face and my anxiety is down to a comfortable level . This is my 1st post

Well done! I found that my blood pressure also came down and is now normal and my face is not looking bloated/red. I am 17 days and am grateful that the worst of the withdrawal is behind me. You will find a lot of encouraging support on this site. I found that everyone here is there to support you and keep each other focused on your sobriety.

Good for you Bonzy. 11 days turns into 21 and then 60 and then 90 and then.......
Before you know it too.
Do you have a plan to negate all those historic triggers? I found it to be the one thing that kept me from picking up again. I had a plan for every day. Excercise, time with the kids and grandkids, projects around the house, more focus on my job. etc etc.
Also a plan to deal with the social events and how I would politely say no and ask for another soda water.
SR is a great resource for us drunks and addicts. Lots of positive support and advice.
Its not like talking to your dr. (unless of course he/she is a drunk as well) These fine people are on the same ride as you and I. Some longer, some brand newcomers. All have a different story to tell about how we ended up here. All have a similar goal.
Stick with your plan Bonzy. Post often, read more, stay focused and never ever give in. Not once!!
