Another newcomer...
Hi all.
Woke up in a state after yet another failed attempt to go out without getting drunk.... Have lurked here before when I've tried to quit but figuring I'll try posting and see if that helps me stay on track - what's the worst that could happen?! Well and truly sick of the booze now so time to take control of the situation.

Hi, Spdr. Welcome to SR and its posting side!
What worse could happen? Only best, take my word.
When I started to post here I didn't expect it will change my life. I was just desperate. Desperate overall. And mostly desperate for understanding and support.
I spent a lot of time here in early recovery. I still do.
Keep posting and best wishes to you)

I think you will find you can come on here and not be judged we are all in the same boat desperate to have a sober life without having the fear of failure or the disapproval of others
Here people will help you, although we are all individual we know what the hell of addiction can cause
Even if you slip up we won't get angry or regret you we will care and ask what happened and offer advise and support to get back on the wagon
Here you will feel safe and actually LISTENED TOO and also UNDERSTOOD
Welcome to the SR family i wish you all the very best in the world

Thanks everyone From what I've seen of the forum so far it seems like the community is a great resource so I look forward to getting involved and interacting with you guys.
The plan is still in development apart from not drinking tonight - luckily the house is booze free at the moment so no immediate temptation. Short term plan involves lots of tea and sleep - thinking about giving AA a go next week which I haven't tried before. I always seem to relapse if I don't keep fit so will be hitting the gym once the hangover fuzz starts lifting.
