I haven't celebrated this day in a bunch of years. Today everyone's fb was drinking. Green beer, black beer, blah blah. I don't even drink beer. But I found this to be an incredibly difficult day. And a bit resentful I wasn't out. It was sober in 10 minute chunks. Anyway I'm going to bed soon. When I wake up I'll have 6 weeks sober! Booooooooom!!!
Oh and I'll be 55 tomorrow. Pfffffffft!

I used to drink myself sick on St. Patrick's Day. Started in the morning and went till the next morning. I don't miss it at all.

Must be a reason I stopped looking at Facebook eons ago. And As I drove past the numerous bars lining the street I follow to get home I was glad I wasn't inside fighting the crowds and as the drivers around me seemed to be driving more erratically than usual I was glad that I wouldn't be one risking an arrest for DUI last night.
