Grateful
Grateful
This is my first winter sober since I started drinking. It has been a long and cold one. I am so grateful to be going through it sober. I enjoy and appreciate the blessings around me so much more because I am that much more aware of them. I am just feeling so blessed tonight as I prepare to snuggle into my bed. I love the warm pajamas, soft blankets, hot beverages, and the warm radiance of candlelight that comes with this season. I am so lucky to be where I am in life right now. I have come to the conclusion that I cannot be happy unless I fully embrace sobriety. Thanks for being here. You help me everyday. <3
Winter does make it easier to justify staying home and getting plastered. But you're right- it's great to be sober! I remember how bad I always felt in the mornings, and being hung over to the point of death didn't make those icy mornings any easier!
No one knows this beautiful feeling you
are experiencing than those that have
experienced them, themselves.
One has to have been there, done that
similar thing to know exactly what you
have shared here with your beautiful
words of wisdom, hope and experience.
It's one of those AWESOME rewards we
experience when living a sober or clean
life.
Simply Beautiful..!!!
