Hi, I've finally decided to quit drinking and this is my first post. I was at a pint of vodka a day for 20 years but that has progressed into a pint along with wine and/or beer. Not sure what expect as far as detox goes. I have stopped for 2-3 days and besides not sleeping, didn't notice any other symptoms. Today is day one!

Congratulations on seeing a possible problem arising regards drinking as it hasn't been classified as a health beverage yet. I'd suggest a good honest talk with your doctor and proceed to abstinence from alcohol by not picking up the first drink. Reading the posts on this site will be informative as there is much good advice here.

My drinking progressed, too. To about the point you're at. So I understand where you're coming from.
I agree, that's a lot to drink, so maybe seeing a doctor and being brutaly honest would be a good idea.
