Posted this under different account, but I was able to get back into my previous one.

It has been awhile, but I have FINALLY accepted that I am an alcoholic. BOY, does it feel good to stop fighting it.

Here is what I wrote in my journal today.
How I will live a better, gentler, life.
1. STAY SOBER
2. Attend 3-4 AA meetings a week
3. Meditate every day
4. Drink lots of water
5. Exercise 3-4 hours a week.
6. Check in with SR every day.

I need structure in my life so this is my start. I am looking forward to spending more time with all of you also! I have been able to string together some sober time up until recently. I know that if I follow my plan and put in the effort I can succeed. I WILL succeed!!!

Congrats! List looks great. Full of positivity! I use to journal regularly. I think I might take it up again. Seems to help organize my thoughts. Thanks for the post

that is the biggest step. Accepting it.
And it looks like a good action plan too.

When the urge hits you, look to this list and pick one to do to surf it.

Sounds like a good plan Anchor. Accepting it was the biggest hurdle for me too, hope this marks a big change for you. Don't be a stranger to SR!

Welcome back, AB! Admitting deep down is a powerful thing- lots of good flows from that one realization.
