New to Recovery, chaired my first AA meeting
Hi All,
I'm a lil over a month sober and was called upon to put my name in for chairing a meeting..
That day was today! What a great feeling to get my story out and being honest about some of the stupid stuff I did. To hear most everyone identify with my story was pretty amazing, it made me feel that i'm not alone.
AA really has changed my life.. I went from being drunk, on drugs and no caring if I lived 5 weeks ago, to cleaning up, wanting to get sober, wanting to clean up past messes(relationships and financial) and wanting more from life.
I remember going to a meeting a while ago and thinking it wasn't my time... Well now is my time and i'm making sure I take full advantage!
If I can go from not caring about life and now loving life, anyone can, you just want to change!!
Thanks!!
