I'm very glad I've made it this far. I can honestly say the last week I've had more thoughts of stopping at the liquor store than I have since I quit drinking. I'm not going to because I do NOT want to start that vicious cycle again.

My head finally feels clear and I really love not having the hung over feeling anymore. I enjoy going to the store at 9:00 pm if I choose to or walking my dog at a random time in the evening. Even being able to take a friend who had minor surgery some food or Gatorade in the evening is nice. Simple things that non alcoholic people take for granted. I'm actually living again for the first time in right at 2 years.

For now I'll keep taking it one step/day at a time and enjoy each day to the fullest.

Hang in there. It does get easier. Make sure to use whatever resource you need to get and stay sober. My first day attempting to be sober I went to 2 AA meetings. Initially what helped me the most was staying very busy doing anything to keep my mind off of my normal routine of drinking.
