Survived Bikram

I did my first Bikram Yoga class last night. WOW! I didn't sweat that much, even when I was withdrawing from alcohol. It was very strenuous, but very rewarding. It was a good lesson in humility. I generally shy away from classes and the like because I don't like to be taught. I broke down that wall and went anyway and it was a good feeling. Kind of showed me that I'm not "special."

I will be back.

Yeah--yoga is a very wonderful thing.

I don't have Bikram where I live, but my "regular" yoga has really helped me in every way.

Wait till you can put your hands flat on the floor and pick up anything without strain . . . amazing!

I think that is a long long time coming, but I am working towards it and it will be amazing!

I love it. I can really feel it in my core afterwards. When I was still drinking, I did it the day after having a few margaritas one time and there is a pose (about 20 poses in) specifically for your liver and I remember feeling like I was going to regurgitate (I didn't thank goodness). Funny because of the 25 other poses, I didn't feel any nausea whatsoever. It really made me believe that each pose was truly in tune with a specific body part.
