Sorry for the cravings but it's good you're getting through them, bllit.
Can you think of any reason for the craving tonight?

Weekends can be especially rough. I'm really glad you didn't cave bllit. The cravings should be less intense as you go along. I can't believe it, but I never think about drinking anymore. You're doing great at 12 days.

The first weekend are always a little rough but the more sober Fridays and Saturdays you rack up the easier it gets bllit

The cravings will get less and less til they're gone. Be strong and stay sober.

Hi bllit

Yeh I know that Friday feeling. I was always down the pub Friday - Sunday. I am 6 months sober now and the first few weeks were hard. I was watching a documentary recently and something stuck in my mind: it said "Humans are creatures of habit". I replaced Fridays with an AA meeting and now I am used to this routine. AA says one day at a time which I was strugling with. If you are struggling break the day into hours or even minutes.
Also remember to treat yourself - I found a pizza works wonders on a Friday!

A new routine is essential I think.

I haven't socialised at night much at all since I quite 6 months ago. I don't want the temptation.

I am watching a huge amount of TV serious - loving dexter right now, and reading a lot. And watching recovery docos on you tube.

Sometimes we even need to avoid friends and slowly make new friends who are focused on similar goals to ourselves.

Good luck

I hugged SR on Fridays and Saturday nights at first. Making other plans not involving alcohol works too. Just to get over the hump. Friday night AA meetings too. There is also the weekend thread here on the newcomers forum. It starts up on Thursday night/Friday morning depending in where in the world the initial poster is. I like that too.
