Quitting Cigarettes While In Early Alcohol Recovery?
I'm on Day 10 of sobriety from alcohol.
Just wondering if it's a good idea to also quit smoking now, I'd read in a few places that "no big changes for a year" seems to be a thing...
I smoke a fair bit, about a pack a day, sometimes less, sometimes more. Kind of fed up with it.
I'd quit smoking countless times, it never sticks for more than a week or so. The longest I'd gone was about a month. I don't get any physical withdrawal symptoms, just really really grouchy and cranky and temporarily revert to the emotional level of a five year old.
I'm just fed up with it and my body is telling me that it's time to get rid of it but I don't want to jeopardize my sobriety.
Anyone here quit both booze and cigarettes at the same time? Should I just do it? Should I wait a bit?

I quit cigarettes a little more 2 months after I my last drink.
I found it difficult to stop smoking and I still miss it a times, but it did not impact my sobriety in any way.
Alcohol is more serious business to me that cigarettes, but I did in fact find cigarettes more difficult to quit in many ways.
