Phantom hangovers

Well I made it to day 17....the longest I went without alcohol in many years. I had mild hangover like symptoms the first week and now I feel them coming on again! Anyone else have this happen?

Yeah, I just considered that to be my foggy period. It took many months for my brain to clear itself of all the junk. This included being lethargic and just sort of floating through my days. Eventually, for me, a wonderful sense of clarity kicked in and I finally felt like myself again. Keep going strong, it gets better my friend!

I had them with my first flirtation with sobriety around the 2 week mark. I'm too early in this time to know.

Yeah I have those. Phantom hangovers coupled with the "fantasizing alcohol" dreams, and you really do feel hungover. My mind has even told me that I have the booze breath that we all know and love the next morning.

How is your food intake? Just curious, when I eat grains I feel like I have a hangover in the morning.

Your body is learning to readjust w/o alc so it's more than likely cravin sugar if not already takin that. Coffee, tea & chocolate helped me a lot.

Make sure you're properly hydrated too...dehydration can feel an awful lot like a hangover, and I imagine it's easy to forget about that with heating and blankets and what have you?

I woke up with a hangoverish like feeling yesterday. I was woken numerous times with my ill child tho. Feel better today. Back at work and still very tired after 3 weeks sober.
